The texture looks like cake or bread......
Yikes! It's fuzzy and has insect-like creatures on it!
This is a Pork Sung sponge cake. Pork Sung is sort of of like a light, fluffy and fuzzy type of pork jerky and I usually just eat it straight out from the jar as a snack. This cake doesn't look very appealing but I like the combo of sweet and savory flavors. The only bad thing is that the cake itself was a little dry. There's a thin layer of sweet cream sandwiched between the 2 layers of cake and the pork sung is also mixed with a lightly sweet paste before being smeared onto the cake. The cake might be more moist if they could smear the pork sung paste all over the cake!

  A pretty cute set in general even though the concept is not unique (Re-ment has already came out with many pancakes, rice omelettes, flan and curry rice). One thing I've noticed about recent Re-ments is that they've been using stickers on the plates, thermos, lunch container & cups instead of printing the images directly onto the items. The edges of the stickers will eventually lose its tackiness and start coming off.

This is 1 of the special set from the T For Candy Dim Sum series. I was told that this beef ball set was only available in the Hong Kong market. The Dim Sum set I previously bought had Japanese text on the package so I didn't realize there were 2 special sets to collect. The other special set was a chicken bean curd roll. I didn't buy that set since it looks pretty similar to the crab bean curd roll that came with the original set.
