These cakes look more elaborately decorated compared to the previous cake release but they seem larger too. This one is the Hot Springs series. The only set I realy like is #8. I pretty much already have something similiar from all the older Re-ment series. Since I missed out on the vintage Hello Kitty goods (from Bandai?), I will get this series. This isn't extremely exciting but I don't have any miniature Hello Kitty stationary items yet.

I assume these footballs are just limited time because starting on October 1st, they're coming out with a Halloween collection. I bought a dozen of assorted donuts but they were all gone within a few hours and I'm still craving for some more.

My throat has been dry and itchy which causes me to cough unexpectedly. I was so glad I had a bottle of these gummies. I bought a box of American ginseng teabags at last weekend's autumn street festival in Chinatown and this was a free gift. They're sugar coated loquat flavored soft gummies but it soothes and lubricate your throat. It also leaves a cool, minty feeling in the throat since one of the ingredients is peppermint leaves. I finished the whole bottle in one night and went to a Asian supermarket to but another bottle.

I was sick since Saturday and I'm much better now. Sunday was the Same Song Concert at Cow Palace. We already left the house extra early so we can arrive there and a hang out a bit before the concert started but once we were in the area, there was traffic jam. There were only 2 lanes on that particular street so cars were just inching their way to the entrance. There were several times when a car on the opposite side of the street was leaving but 2-3 cars will immediately try to take that spot. The concert was suppose to start at 3PM and we were still stuck in traffic at 3:15PM. I was worried that I would miss out on the Hong Kong artists. My boyfriend caught a guy already inside a car on the opposite side of the street so we all stared at him to see if he just got there are if he's leaving. Once he started his car my boyfriend tried making a u-turn but too many oncoming cars were coming and at the same time we were worried that other cars would wan that space too. We did end u...

A friend just discovered this shop in San Francisco and bought me these two to sample. Both are jelly-like sweets made with bean paste and agar. The purple one is red bean and the yellow one is yuzu. I wouldn't buy them next time. The flavors are so-so and the texture is soft and mushy. They were about bite-sized but I couldn't finish them by myself. But I will definitely try their other selections that's more like mochi or dorayaki.

I bought another Deco Venus magazine to get some more inspirations. I've been trying to think of other items I can decorate with besides a business card case. Oh, btw, I've decided to buy the Tiffany & Co business card case instead of the $1.50 one. Pencil holders would be another option since it's the type of item where you don't need to wash it too much.

My bf and I were in Monterey the past weekend. We were glad that the weather cooperated with us during the day but when we went to Old Fisherman's Grotto in Old Fisherman's Wharf, it started sprinkling and was quite chilly. Here are some pics from the aquarium. The last picture was from a Chinese restaurant in Monterey called New Dynasty. From the outside, the restaurant looked like a typical Chinese restaurants w/red lanterns hanging out. But once we stepped in we were surprised to see such details inspired by the Forbidden City in Monterey ! The pic shows the area where you can pick out costumes and take pictures as an emperor or empress.

Just received my Hot Topic package today!! I got a super good deal on these. Many of the graphic tees were "Buy One and receive 50% off the second one." In addition, I had a 25% off promo code that I found off the internet so these were just ~$12 each! My favorite one is the Hello Kitty & Daniel nerdy tee plus the four-eyed Hello Kitty necklace! The tees are from DOE and I love their fit. I bought size small and they fit perfectly. Sizes from other companies are tricky for me because a size small is too fitted while a size medium is too loose. Back of the tee:

Picked up a copy of Deco Venus because there were a few pages on making miniature clay sweets. These are my favorite designs from this issue and I also found 3 Hello Kitty designs from Strapya. I'm so inspired by these elaborate designs that I stopped by my local bead store to purchase some Swarovski rhinestones to decorate a business card case. But I made a huge mistake of not planning my project carefully and now I realize: The 12ss sized rhinestones don't fit perfectly onto my card case. I need the 5ss size rhinestones for a perfect fit. 200 rhinestones are not enough to cover the surface of the business card case. If I'm going to use the 5ss size, I need 1,150 of them! The 5ss rhinestones are super tiny so I need some type of magnifying tool. The cost of 1,150 crystal rhinestones will be about $50. So I'm debating if it's worth gluing the rhinestones to a cheap, flimsy business card case I bought for $1.50 from Ichibankan or to invest in a sterling silver busine...

I was going through my sticker sheets today and found these 2 cards. I bought them at the Hong Kong airport for US$6 each but totally forgot about them until today. They were suppose to be souvenirs for friends but I couldn't part with them once I got back! There were other cities available, such as Paris and Taipei but I didn't visit those cities so purchasing them won't be meaningful. Too bad the Hong Kong version was sold out or else it will be a complete representation of my trip.

I like the color of these more than the previous heart-shaped ones. I didn't have orange colored Sculpey on hand so I mixed bright yellow and red Sculpey together + Tan Sculpey + mostly Sunshine Sculpey to achieve this color.
